Google Health

BodyComp connects to your Google Account through the Google Health API, read-only, for one figure: the whole-day calorie burn your Fitbit records.

What BodyComp reads

Google Health dataPermissionUsed for
Your whole-day calorie total, one figure a dayActivity and fitness, read-onlyBurn, for your energy balance

That is the only figure BodyComp reads from Google Health.

Where it goes

Your Google Health access and refresh tokens are kept on our server, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, with the key held outside the database. All traffic uses HTTPS.

When you run the weekly review, it sends your week's average whole-day burn, also split into training and rest days, naming its source, and the goal check can send a maintenance estimate built from that burn. Both go through our server, which keeps no copy, to Anthropic, whose commercial terms bar training on it.

What never happens

Disconnect and delete

  1. In BodyComp, while online: Settings → Integrations → Google Health → Disconnect. Our server asks Google to revoke access, then deletes its tokens, even if Google refuses.
  2. At Google: remove BodyComp under Third-party apps and services at myaccount.google.com/connections.
  3. Day totals already on your phone stay until you delete them: Settings → Storage → Delete Everything I've Logged.
